We all have at least one significant career crossroad in our lives.

Disruption is the new normal. What might have been one career crossroad will likely multiply to two, three, or more for today’s (and tomorrow’s) average career.

So, how do we plan for these unsettling events and become better prepared and more resilient? These are some of the themes that I explore on Gillian Fox’s “Your Brilliant Career” podcast (the title is a callback to Jane Campion’s breakthrough film “My Brilliant Career,” which generated a lot of professional empowerment buzz for women in the 80s).

John Tarnoff is an executive and career transition coach, speaker, and author who supports mid and late-career professionals in defining, planning, and achieving more meaningful and sustainable careers.

Fired 39% during his 35 years as a film producer, studio executive and tech entrepreneur, he learned how to turn setbacks into successes in a volatile business.
