Pursuing Uncomfortable with Melissa Ebken

For many of us over 50, our careers will appear to get more uncomfortable.

But what a great reminder that there is no security in our comfort zones. As the world continues to get more volatile on seemingly every level, embracing our discomfort is actually the smartest strategy.

Whether we take proactive steps to learn new skills or explore new ways of earning income, any positive departure from the status quo is going to build greater strength and resilience to the challenges that are sure to arise in our careers going forward.

There’s no use in railing about the inequities of ageism without doing something about it. And that action begins with each of us. By developing our own resourcefulness and favoring a growth mindset, we can position ourselves to take constructive action when life throws us a curve ball.
