This interview brings me full circle with the dynamic leadership coach Chris Gargano. Chris is one of the most positive people I have ever worked with. His story continues to inspire me.
I confess to a certain amount of “pride of authorship,” as Chris came to me as a client for help in pivoting from his senior-level management job at a top NFL franchise into an entrepreneurial role as a leadership consultant and coach.
Chris had done all his homework, earned an advanced degree, and was already teaching as an adjunct at NYU. But he wanted a roadmap to better define his new practice, and the steps he needed to take to make it a reality.
It’s now three years later, and in his practice and on his highly-rated podcast, Chris helps emerging leaders (and the organizations they work for) develop effective and enduring skills. In our lively conversation, we touch on a number of our favorite leadership topics – including and especially the art of listening.
